If you need to do research for a school project, visit Ebsco, World Book Online, or Proquest to access these three databases for reliable souces.  You'll get much more accurate information on from these databases than by doing random google searches.

World Book Online is an encyclopedia that allows you to search by subject.  Select the "student" search option or "Advanced" if you want more information.

 Ebsco is another database all of our students have access to.  Log in and click on "Points of View" to help you write your persuasive essays and to gain a better understanding of controversial issues.

Citing Your Sources

Whenever you work on a research project, you must create a "Works Cited" list to give credit to the authors of the sources you used (e.g. books, websites, databases, encyclopedia). Look at the sample works cited pages by clicking on the links below.  You can also use the "Citation Machine" to quickly generate your entries.

Click here to use the Citation Machine website.  It will create your works cited entries in MLA format. Simply choose the type of source and enter the info requested.
