I love this series of books! Cinder is the first book and is loosely based on the fairytale Cinderella. Each book in the series focusses on a different character in the same story and each is loosely based on a different fairy tale. Check them all out at our library. In this book Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, mistreated by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. When her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself in the middle of an intergalactic struggle and doomed romance. Caught between duty and freedom, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect the future of the world.
